Aqua Teen’s “Greetings from The Jersey Shore” T-Shirt
It won’t be long before people everywhere want to literally vomit at the mere mention of the names Snooki, JWoww, and The Situation. With the 2nd season of MTV’s Jersey Shore creeping up on us, it won’t be long before your cable channels are infested by guidos again. Don’t worry though, when their 15 minutes is up, you can always fall back on the original crew to hang out down at The Jersey Shore, The Aqua Teen Hunger Force. The cult Adult Swim series is still going strong, in fact, just last week Aqua Teen Hunger Force Volume 7 was released on DVD. Personally, I’d rather listen to a talking ball of meat than JWoww.

I Love You Meatwad, but not for $80 bucks!

If this thing actually talked like Meatwad and said “Fudge You, Butthole!” every time I plopped my ass down on it, then it would immediately be on the floor in my living room. If I gave into my deepest desires, I would own this Meatwad Bean Bag Chair.

There are 2 reasons why I won’t blow the steep $80 dollars on it though. First, I might use it for 2 or 3 weeks, then I’d probably wind up right back on my couch, the same couch that has the indentation of my ass cheeks in it from constantly sitting in the same spot all the time (their ad describes this phenomenon as “butt deformation” lol). You must have a couch like that. I saw my couch on Sesame Street one time: “One of Jay’s couch cushions is flatter than the other, do you know which one it is? Oh yeah, the second reason is all about the price. I have been known to spend wads of cash on unnecessary crap, but I just can’t justify this one. Perhaps a Meatwad plush toy or pillow will be more cost effective.

New Jersey’s Horror Punk Icon: Glenn Danzig

Sure, horror punk icons are awesome, but they’re even more awesome when they’re from Jersey! It’s insane that so many younger people out there are only familiar with Glenn Danzig because of MTV’s heavy rotation of the video for his track “Mother” in 1993. You should be chained to a wall if you weren’t aware that Danzig is the founder and former lead singer of Lodi, NJ’s legendary Misfits. Presently, Danzig is working on a new album and also runs his own record label called Evilive, and the 18 & over comic book company Verotik.

– In 2002, our favorite fast food freaks from the Jersey Shore paid Danzig the ultimate pop culture tribute when he appeared in the Aqua Teen Hunger Force episode, Cybernetic Ghost of Christmas Past from the Future.

– Yex13’s YouTube channel offers the rare “original” version of Shakira’s “Hips Don’t Lie” video, which features her duet with Glen Danzig. Watch it, especially if you feel like laughing your devilock off.
